Project Guidelines for Submission

  • Objectives

    The project objectives outline the specific goals the project intends to achieve.

    Define the project's core purpose within its sector or context
    (e.g., improving site operations, designing public infrastructure, restoring degraded land, or enhancing user experience)

    Explain how the project integrates environmental or social responsibility
    (e.g., reducing ecological footprint, fostering biodiversity, improving water systems, supporting community wellbeing)

    Describe the long-term vision or intended legacy
    (e.g., creating more resilient systems, influencing industry standards, or demonstrating new approaches to sustainability)

  • Project Journey

    Describe the approach and techniques employed to achieve the project objectives.

    Explain the design or planning approach used to meet the project’s goals
    (e.g., co-design with community, systems thinking, biophilic or regenerative frameworks)

    Describe key methods, techniques, or technologies applied
    (e.g., passive design, land rehabilitation, circular materials, ecological restoration)

    Share how challenges were addressed and insights gained along the way
    (e.g., adapting to local conditions, navigating policy, unexpected community feedback)

  • On The Ground

    Share the results with photography, film or audio content for publication.

    Include quotes or reflections from people directly involved in the project
    (e.g., workers, Traditional Owners, designers, community members, partners)

    Where appropriate, acknowledge and incorporate First Nations perspectives
    (e.g., cultural context, custodianship, collaborative processes, or permission to share)

    Include photographs or films that captures spirit, place and people
    (eg images of the site, materials, construction, ceremonies or lived outcomes)

We take great care in reviewing project submissions for publication, ensuring that each proposal undergoes a thorough evaluation process. While we are committed to considering a diverse range of innovative ideas, we must adhere to specific requirements and standards to maintain the quality and integrity of our publications. Consequently, not every submission can be accepted. However, we strongly encourage individuals and teams to share their work with us, as each submission presents an opportunity for collaboration and creativity.
